Repolymerized PMMA acrylic resin

A Thoughtful Material.
A Clear Evolution.

Depolymerization breaks recovered acrylic down into its original liquid building block. We call this recovered material depolymerized methyl methacrylate (DMMA). It is purified and polymerized again to make new acrylic resin.

01 / RECOVER

Keep useful acrylic in circulation.

ClearCycle™ Acrylic contains 80% post-consumer repolymerized PMMA acrylic resin. Recovering acrylic after its use by customers creates a raw-material resource for new sheet production.

02 / DEPOLYMERIZE

Recover the building blocks.

Acrylic is broken down into methyl methacrylate (MMA) monomer and purified. DMMA is our term for this material recovered through depolymerization.

03 / REPOLYMERIZE

Create premium cast sheet.

The purified DMMA is polymerized again to make PMMA acrylic resin for new cast acrylic sheet. Repolymerized feedstock reduces reliance on newly produced monomer.

Designed for another chapter

Made to be
made again.

ClearCycle™ Acrylic is made with 80% repolymerized PMMA: acrylic recovered, broken down into purified MMA and cast into new sheet. At end of use, clean ClearCycle™ Acrylic offcuts and parts can go back through the same depolymerization process, through a recycler that accepts PMMA.

Recovery depends on collection, material condition and access to an accepting PMMA recycler. Curbside acceptance should not be assumed.

Discuss an end-of-use recovery plan

A shorter route back to raw material.

Recovering MMA avoids parts of the upstream processing needed to produce new monomer. The process advantages include reduced infrastructure and energy demand, reduced water consumption and lower production-stage CO₂ emissions compared with virgin-monomer cast acrylic production.

The Choice is Clear. Premium sheet stock, a recovered-material story and practical Canadian support.

01

Support responsible procurement.

Specify repolymerized PMMA acrylic resin when your project calls for recovered-material inputs.

02

Make the material story reportable.

Record the sheet quantity or mass purchased and retain the supplier declaration. Use documented post-consumer DMMA resin materials and ask us to assist in calculating your total recovered materials on your project.

03

Plan for the next use.

Design for the future, keep offcuts separated and clean, and make arrangements with your local PMMA recycler. Work with recyclers who provide documentation of your recovery at every step.

A few clear answers

ClearCycle™ Acrylic questions.

What is ClearCycle™ Acrylic?

ClearCycle™ Acrylic is Redco™’s premium cast acrylic sheet line, made with 80% post-consumer repolymerized PMMA acrylic resin and GRS certified. Canadian stocking supply and technical support are available through Authorized Distributors Redwood Plastics and Rubber and Industrial Plastics & Paints.

How much post-consumer content does ClearCycle™ Acrylic contain?

ClearCycle™ Acrylic contains 80% post-consumer repolymerized PMMA acrylic resin and is certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). Post-consumer content comes from material recovered after use by end customers. Request GRS certification and chain-of-custody documentation for your purchasing and sustainability records.

What is DMMA?

Depolymerized methyl methacrylate (DMMA) is our term for methyl methacrylate recovered by breaking down previously used acrylic. The recovered monomer is purified and polymerized again to produce PMMA acrylic resin.

What does repolymerized mean?

Recovered acrylic is broken down into monomer building blocks and polymerized again for use in new acrylic sheet. Ask our team for current material information for your project.

Which sizes, thicknesses and colours are available?

Our primary sheet range is 2–24 mm thick in 48″ × 96″ format. Available colour/thickness combinations vary. Our colour range includes Clear 0000; Light White 2447, Solid White 3015 and Sign White 7328; Bronze 2412 and 2370; Grey 2064 and 2074; Black 2025; Light Black; Yellow 2037; Blue 2051; and Red 2039. Explore the digital colour swatches, then contact us to confirm sizes, thicknesses, availability and delivery timing.

How can the sheets be fabricated?

ClearCycle™ Acrylic sheets are readily cut, routed, polished, bonded, printed and thermoformed using appropriate acrylic fabrication practices. Confirm the grade, thickness and process settings for your application.

Can ClearCycle™ Acrylic be recycled?

Specialist mechanical recycling and chemical depolymerization are possible routes. Chemical recovery returns suitable acrylic to purified MMA for repolymerization. Availability and acceptance depend on the recycler, location and material condition; contact us for project-specific guidance.

Does ClearCycle™ Acrylic have a UV warranty?

Yes. ClearCycle™ Acrylic Clear 0000 purchased and installed in Canada is covered by a 10-year limited UV warranty from the original purchase date, for purchases made on or after 2026-10-17.
